Roofing materials come with varying warranties, from 20 years to lifetime. Knowing if the roof is under warranty can save you a lot of money, especially if you keep up with required maintenance.
A roofing contractor should offer a warranty on their workmanship, especially on new roofs. A new roof with a current materials and workmanship warranty in effect is definitely a big plus!
